THE “HIEROSOLYMA HOAX”
The Hierosolyma Manuscripts hoax was exposed by the joint effort of all of the organizations and institutions that participated in the “Hierosolyma Project,” including papyrologists from the Chicago Paleography Institute, who were brought in especially for the purpose of providing “deep authentication” of the manuscripts. We are maintaining the “Hierosolyma Manuscript Collection” web page on our website as an historical record of the work that preceded the revelation of the “Hierosolyma Hoax.” There is a header at the top that reads “WE UNCOVERED THE HIEROSOLYMA HOAX.” We will now provide some details about how the hoax was detected.
THE DETECTION OF THE HOAX
The first evidence of the hoax came from HXi created at the L. F. Nexus from several of the manuscripts. The Alpha Destiny HXi did not match with those for the Textus Receptus/Scrivener/RCGNT (Reconstructed Corroborated Greek New Testament) text. This satisfied us that the papyri were a hoax but, since our advanced techniques and our unique discoveries are not yet common knowledge in the paleographical scientific/scholastic community, we needed conventional confirmation. This came through a chemical analysis of the papyri. Chemical tests revealed that, while the papyri were indeed ancient…they had been BLEACHED WITH 20TH CENTURY BLEACHING AGENTS. There were microscopic residues of bleaching agents THAT HAVE ONLY BEEN IN EXISTENCE SINCE 1930. These particular bleaching agents are created with modern, complex chemical industrial processes that were not in existence before 1900.
