The power of God is found in the PRINCIPLES of God.  This is the teaching of the Lord in Hebrews 5:12:

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

You will notice that this verse talks about “the oracles of God.”  These words refer to the Bible.  This verse also tells us that the “first principles of the oracles of God” are “milk” and “not strong meat.”  This means that the first principles do not have the power (the “strength”) of the “[later] principles of the oracles of God.”

To be sure (that is, it must be acknowledged), the first principles do provide some power.  However, Hebrews 5:12 makes it clear that they do not provide as much power as “the later principles.”

The L. F. Nexus and Dr. Bisconti personally have catalogued (often with the aid of a computer) over one billion (1,000,000,000+) principles, all of which are found in the Word of God (the Bible [the King James Bible]).  In addition, computerized, propositional analysis of the Bible indicates the potential for another ten trillion (10,000,000,000,000) principles that have been yet undiscovered.  The fact is that the Bible teaches that there are an infinite number of principles to be found in the Word of God (the Bible [the King James Bible]).  Psalm 127:5 says:

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Note what this verse says about the Lord:  the Lord’s understanding is INFINITE.  God always has more he can teach us.  The infinity of the understanding of the Lord tells us that the Lord ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING NEW HE CAN GIVE US and this has to do not only with the mental realm but with the physical realm too.  The infinity of the Lord’s understanding is tied to his power; note:  “great power…understanding….”  God connects his power to his understanding.  This means that God connects his power to the understanding that he gives us.  This means God connects his power to the principles, which require the use of human understanding aided by the Holy Spirit, that he gives us.

Now, the principles of the Bible are NOT the words found in the Bible.  The principles are “the MEANING CONVEYED by the words found in the Bible.”

We will pick up this subject at the next opportunity.  The main thing to learn from this article is the simple truth that:

PRINCIPLE = POWER
