THE L. F. NEXUS
WE OPPOSE THE TEACHING
OF BOTH EVOLUTION AND CREATIONISM IN SCIENCE CLASSES
We
oppose the teaching of both evolution and creationism in science classes. Why?
Science
deals strictly with physical reality and the understanding of physical reality.
Both
evolution and creationism involve science but go beyond it. Both evolution and creationism involve the
persuasion of the human intellect influenced by personal expectation. Whether the persuasion is correct depends on
one not allowing their personal expectation to dominate their processes of
rational thought. On a personal note,
we are creationists but, in science classes, we teach eXolution, not creationism. Note that eXolution does not contradict
creationism and that eXolution
allows the possibility of creationism.
