TRADITIONAL BIBLICAL TEXTUAL CRITICISM IS NOT
SCHOLARSHIP
Traditional biblical textual criticism is
NOT scholarship. It is, however, “scholocentroship.” Scholocentroship is nothing more than large
amounts of knowledge and information.
Traditional biblical textual criticism does, indeed, involve large
amounts of knowledge and information.
But that does not make it scholarship.
Scholarship takes knowledge and information and draws decisive (settling
things once and for all) conclusions.
Traditional biblical textual criticism does NOT draw decisive
conclusions. Instead, it simply forms
opinions. These opinions are nothing
more than hunches. They are not
science.
