PnPsy 1000 -- Research  (1-12 units)
Description:  (See College of Medicine Electives Manual).

PnPsy 1003 -- Clinical Clerkship  (6-9 units)
Description:  Students are assigned patients in inpatient clinical settings. They obtain and record a complete history, mental status and physical examination. The students are expected to study the course of their patients and record their observations in daily progress notes. They work closely with clinical staff in the diagnosis, specific treatment, ward management and discharge planning involving their patients. In addition, they are introduced to community and legal services for the chronically ill, the suicidal and the violent patient. Those students wishing to take an additional three-, four-, or six-week clerkship in psychiatry may elect to do so (PnPsy 1010).
May be repeated:  for a total of 12 units of credit.
