THE L. F. NEXUS
OUR CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT 2008 – WE SUPPORT
SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN
UPDATE #636
By Dr. Michael J. Bisconti
Our current analysis requires that we support Senator John
McCain. A late analysis revealed that Senator McCain is simply tolerant
of Gays but Senator Barack Obama sees nothing evil about the Gay lifestyle and,
in fact, encourages a laissez–faire (take-a-wimpy-stand) attitude toward Gays
in our culture and among our youth. While we are greatly displeased with
Senator McCain’s choice of an arguably qualified woman as a running mate, we
believe that God will bless and protect our country if its leaders choose
righteousness over political advantage. Now, if Senator McCain’s
vice-presidential choice was for political advantage, at least, it was far less
evil than Senator Obama’s support of the Gay lifestyle. Finally, we
believe that God is more concerned about righteousness then he is about
economic prowess and, therefore, even if Senator McCain's economic
thinking were not as good as Senator Obama's, and this is not the
case, but, even if it were, God would still do more to meet our nation’s
economic needs with a righteous or more righteous man in the White House.
We will
stop all analysis one week before the election. The margin of error for our analysis is ±2% (roughly ±144
points).
Note that
our analysis does not require support of any political party and we are
generally (for the most part) disgusted with the two major political
parties.
A plus
(+) in the leftmost column indicates an issue that we added or updated
recently. Note that we have relocated
the issue “Strong Economy” and renamed it “Economy – Strong Economy” and
relocated the issue “Strong Military” and renamed it “Military – Strong
Military.” Also, we have changed red
text to yellow text.
Note that the final scores are the sums of the individual weighted
scores (rightmost two columns) for each candidate. Also, some issues (in yellow text) are so complex that
the raw scores had to be represented with values between 0 and 1. Finally, certain issues (in sky
blue text) are
not position issues; therefore, numerical indexes were entered in the
first two columns. The index for
experience reflects years of experience and impact of native intelligence on
the candidate’s personal learning curve.
Finally, to reduce the impact of political expediency on our analysis,
we are using January 2008 positions for both candidates.
