There is a God and he is involved in human affairs but he sometimes hides his involvement so that it appears that he is not involved.  At such times, one experiences the illusion of life operating by the principle of deism.  The historical presence of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, in this world is an instance in which God did not hide his involvement in human affairs.
