Clueless Critics Have Criticized The “Mixed Version”

The Federal Government

The federal government is plain stupid. You don’t spend money you don’t have unless it is necessary to maintain physical honor (minimal personal dignity) or to save life or limb. We need to replace everyone in Washington with people who promise to follow this rule. We need people in Washington who will follow the Constitution. It is not the job of the federal government to make us happy. It is the job of the federal government to preserve our constitutional rights.

You know, if the American people would join together, we could have a third party that would do things right.

The Constitution tells us what the federal government is supposed to do. Here’s how the Constitution begins:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,

establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common

defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to

ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the

United States of America.

Notice the seven things the federal government is supposed to work toward:

1. Greater Unity

2. Justice

3. Domestic Tranquility

4. The Common Defence

5. The General Welfare

6. The Blessings of Liberty for Ourselves

7. The Blessings of Liberty for Our Posterity

We don’t see anything about happiness in the list. Greater unity comes through increased agreement. Justice comes through fair and equitable laws and their wise enforcement. Domestic tranquility comes through justice and maintaining the general welfare. The common defence comes through a properly supported and intelligently guided military. The general welfare comes through seeing to it that everyone has the basic necessities of life. Liberty for ourselves comes through following the Constitution. Liberty for our posterity (those who come after us) also comes through following the Constitution. This is not rocket science. We just need to follow these principles and to demand that those we elect to the highest offices of the land follow these principles.

We know what to do. We just need to do it!
