July 5, 2010 We’ve decided to highlight (for now) Dr. Evil because he is a well-known fictional character that epitomizes (serves as a typical example of) satire. Satire exposes or ridicules conduct, doctrines, or institutions either by direct criticism or more often through irony, parody, or caricature. Irony applies to a manner of expression in which the intended meaning is the opposite of what is seemingly expressed. The L F. Nexus has always been a mixture of information and satire. We will continue this tradition. Now, over the years there have been a handful of ignorant people who were too dumb to be able to tell the difference between information and satire. These people, for example, took as fact the satire regarding my possession of certain formal education at nonexistent educational institutions and the satire regarding why a woman should not be president. In fact, just a few months ago, when applying for a job in real life, a prospective employer actually believed things that were written on the internet and, as a result, I was told, they were very displeased with me. Forgive me for saying so but all of these people are truly a bunch of idiots. This new website will be the fourth generation of the L. F. Nexus website. The Fourth Generation of the L. F. Nexus (link not yet active) Below is the link to the third generation of the L. F. Nexus website, which may have left something to be desired but which was still ahead of its time. The “third generation” contains a lot of second and a tiny bit of first generation content. - Dr. Michael Bisconti |
