{FD} Roy Moore defeats Luther Strange in Alabama Senate runoff seen as test of Trump influence

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore was projected to soundly defeat incumbent Sen. Luther Strange in a GOP primary runoff that pitted President Donald Trump against some of his most loyal supporters, including former chief strategist Steve Bannon, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and a slew of conservative members of the House of Representatives.
