The United States Psychiatric Association

If you search the internet, you will find millions of articles criticizing the American Psychiatric Association.  On the other hand, if you search the internet, you will not find a single criticism of the United States Psychiatric Association.  Why is that?

Incidentally, someone has been confusing the United States Psychiatric Association with the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.  The United States Psychiatric Association was founded in 1960.  The United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association was founded 14 years later in 1974.  The acronym (“abbreviation”) for the United States Psychiatric Association is “UPA.”  The acronym for the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association is “USPRA.”
