Actually, how long is not the primary issue. There are three primary issues:
1. Are you spending enough time on other important matters?
These include, among other things, work, family, school, and church.
2. Are you getting enough physical activity?
You’ll shorten your life if you don’t. Physical activity supports mobility (the ability to move).
3. Are you getting enough physical stress?
The human body occasionally needs to be at least briefly and slightly pushed past its normal limits. For example, while sitting, lift your legs horizontal to the floor and hold them there until two things happen: (1) you believe you can’t hold them up any longer and then (2) you count to 5. Counting to 5 pushes your body past its normal limits. Physical stress supports endurance.
