We will be stopping username screening, which prevents unwanted usernames in our forums. Our reason for stopping username screening is that the number of people joining our forums is beginning to outpace our ability to manually check each submitted username. As a result of stopping username screening, unwanted usernames will begin to appear in our “Members” list. Some of these may be foul and disgusting. At some point, they will be erased from the Members list.
Now, although bad usernames may appear in our Members list, the bad users will still not be able to post any content. In addition, we have set up viral auto-responders that will send viruses to the email addresses of these people. First, the viruses will attempt to erase their hard drives. Second, whether the erasure attempt is successful or not, their hard drives will be idelibly stamped with a CUI (Criminal User Insignia). Also, if we have the time, we will be publishing the email addresses of these criminals in one of our blacklists, as well as sending their email addresses to the FBI’s Cybercrimes Division.
