We’re from Chicago; so we know a thing or two about the Democratic Party. A Democrat, one of Chicago’s greatest majors, Mayor Richard M. Daley, recently ended his time in office. Mayor Daley and the Democratic Party achieved some great things. Now, however, the Democratic Party is failing. It is failing principally because it now acts like kings and queens over the people instead of the people’s representatives. It passes bills against the will of the majority of Americans. It imagines that college education training guarantees it common sense and wisdom superior to that of the average person. Therefore, the Democratic Party has lost almost all credibility. It is only out of love and respect for our last mayor that we don’t call the Democratic Party a bunch of fools.
